We are taking an approach that goes beyond teaching reading techniques. The series integrates four complementary perspectives:
The Science of Reading—clear explanations of how children develop decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Relationship-Centered Learning—emphasizing that the parent-child and grandparent-grandchild bond is a powerful context for literacy growth.
The Joy of Children's Literature—drawing on an elementary librarian's expertise to help parents and grandparents discover books that captivate young readers.
Practical Implementation—using your project management background to provide structured plans, checklists, and measurable goals that parents and grandparents can easily follow.
This combination creates a distinctive niche: we are not preparing parents and grandparents to become reading teachers; we're helping them become confident literacy mentors who use everyday moments, quality books, and warm relationships to foster a lifelong love of reading.
